Thanks to a public vote, Carron Kith can continue to grow and support our Community!
Falkirk Council recently announced the results of a vote for 26 small grants projects in the Falkirk Area. Carron Kith were delighted to have received 100% of the vote for the Carse, Kinnaird and Tryst Ward – even though our project supports people from all over the Falkirk Area!
The grant is part of the Falkirk Council – Community Choices Small Grants Fund, helping to support small local projects for charities or community groups, to provide services to local people.
A key part of our project will be to install a projector, and sound system for our popular monthly Movie Events, making our events more accessible for people with sight or hearing difficulties.
The Movie Events are attended by people living in the Carron Valley Area – from Denny, Larbert, Laurieston to Bo’ness, who enjoy the company of others. It allows us to spend time watching a classic movie, with friends, sharing a cup of tea and a blether in relaxed surroundings.
Our Group is appreciative of the staff and residents at Beild – Thornhill Court, who support our events, and always make us feel welcome and are looking forward to our new Movie Experience!

This extra funding will make such a difference to our members – our Movie Events will be like we are going to the cinema.
